Hi guys, does anyone know if the 76 MZ-5 can be triggered as a slave without using the controller. I want to trigger it when my studio flash is triggered. I've been through the manual and it's not very clear and it doesn't seem to want to be triggered.

Nowadays slave flash is a bit complex, not like the old days when if you had a built in Slave on a flashgun it could be triggered.

Tell me about it! I've had a reply from Metz - and guess what - I need another part; SCA 3083 costing around £45. What I've found with the Metz manuals is that they are quite vague and for a flash costing £600 I find that difficult. I've asked Metz for further clarification about operating the unit "off camera". I've still got a 45-CT1 which I found straightforward; hoh hum, must be getting old.

I have just bought another Metz 48 flash to use with my original 48 as a slave flash. The instructions are very vague. I haven`t figured it out yet.
