There will be a meteor shower tonight. If the sky is clear with no clouds, visiblity of this should be very good. Should be coming from the northeast. Meteors should be passing at the rate of approx. 80 per minute, or 1 every 45 secs. best time is supposed to be at 3:00 AM.
Aparently this happens every summer but because of the new moon it should be more visable.

Just to be clear, it's 80 per hour rather than 80 per minute! Although 80 per minute would be amazing!

heavy cloud cover in the north west and it's been raining, so not much chance of seeing the show from here :(

oh well totally overcast here so wont be seeing them :(

Clear as a bell here mate nothing happening though.
We did have an hour or so of clouds a couple of hours ago though

very clear here, camera clicking away outside.
Seen some lovely ones before I set up and none since

lol ain't that always the way?? heavy cloud here too, the rain seems to have stopped so hoping it will clear a bit.

just been outside with my girlfriend and she kept saying theres one, after the third I had to tell her its the car lights shining on next doors new arial as they drive past:lol:
Haven't seen one since I set up which is typical.

Well I just spent about 45mins out there and saw quite a few! Some stunning colour ones that left trails in the sky for a good few seconds before they disappeared.

Only thing is I can't figure out what I'm doing when it comes to taking the shots ...

Perfect weather here, but none... NONE! seem to want to go over in the field of view of my camera. And if they do, it is without fail in the time between shutter closing and me opening it again. :(

Still nice to see some either way :)

I was watching last night and saw b****r all. Everytime I got excited thinking there was a meteorite, it turned out to be a plane

I was up to the wee small hours I saw maybe half a dozen but nothing to photograph all moving far too fast and far to far apart to try and "predict" should have gone to bed instead
