Metallica at Wembley

My mate has bought four tickets through ticketmaster. He's a member of livenation because he's been to download festival so got early digs on tickets. They opened at 3pm and he's third block from the stage, 27 rows back.

General release is as you say tomorrow Carole at 9am :)
 
My son got our tickets early too! He's standing.......I'm too old for that so sitting, left hand side, 1st level, half way back (so he tells me)!! My second time with M..... wonder if it's worth trying to get a camera in?
 
Never really got on with Metallica but I'll be at Wembley Stadium June 17th watching Muse so I'll check out the acoustics for you :clap:
 
I saw them on the "Black" tour and when they did Donnington, not sure whether I`ll bother this time though.

Didn`t really enjoy the last couple of albums, the last in particular. I was more a Ride the Lightning and Master era person.

Anybody going the Download this year? the line up looks pretty good.
 
Would love to go to Download.... unfortunately, financial commitments do not allow this year :'( I'm determined to get there one year.
 
They went soft and mellow after "master of puppets",
you cant beat "kill 'em all", when they were at their best.

Saying that were going to wemberly as my mate has free tickets.:)

It's not worth trying at these types of shows as, if security stop you you might have a long walk back to your car to take your gear back.

I will be there tho, in the pit facing the crowd (my job) like ********, I will be bouncing up and down that pit lane like a man possesed!!
If you want to see a good tallica show go to Dublin or Arnhem graet venues and crowds. This gig will be my 57th. Have seen them in England, scotland, wales, northern Ireland, Rep of Ireland, France, Holland, Germany, Belgium and USA.
 
Of course it is 3 days AFTER I move back to the states. I agree that their new stuff isn't up to snuff but I'd still go to say I've been. Ohh well I'm sure they'll tour in the US again.
 
The very first Metallica song I ever heard was 'One'. To this day, it's still one of my all time favourite songs.... such sexy guitar playing :love:

I bumped into Steve Harris from Iron Maiden @ focus forgot to tell you Min, don't know if your a fan with saying you want to go to download?
 
Slightly OT but I just got an email offering pre-order on the lads new (Roadstar) album "Glass Mountain" thru Magic Hat Records (prefer to buy it that way as more money gets to the band I think)
April's turning into a good month with Porcupine Tree's new one out as well :notworthy:

I love Maiden, i've seen them around 10 times now although not during the awful Blaze Bailey years.

Oh the memories of Monsters of Rock Donnington.
 
I thought Maiden`s last tour was superb, even throughout the powerfailure that plagued the venue. They were brilliant with the crowd.

Quick query, any Thunder fans out there?
