Yes
I bought a new metal bayonet mount for Nikon 18-105mm lens to change for the plastic one, I took plastic one of and put new metal one on, there are 8 screws I screwed the first 7 screws in and the last one will not go in, the last hole on the mount dose not line up with the last hole on the lens, the one on the electric contacts. has any one else had this problem with this ring on the 18-105 lens, it is ment to be for the 18-55 18-135 18-105.

Sounds like inaccuracy with the drilled screw holes on the metal mount you have bought. Get a refund from whoever you bought it from.

Apart from this ^^^ will the bayonet fitting only go on one way ? Have you tried turning it round in case it has 1 screw hole slightly off to make sure you don't get it wrong. ??

Long shot and prob not this, but worth a check.

Loosen all the screws, so the last screw fits, loosely tighten them one at a time, then tighten them up once all are in, preferably the opposites first.

I always put screws in loose with everything that I do to make sure they fit before I tighten them up pete, anyway the last holes are to far apart, they told me that they have sold hundreds, but on there site they say that they have already sold 30, tut tut funny how you always catch them out, I think they only fit the 18-55 lenses, I just don't want anyone else to go through the bother of getting this for the 18-105.

Thought it would, as I said prob not the answer, but always worth a thought / look.

Looks like you're getting a refund now [emoji3]
