Menorca & Snorkelling....

Anyone here know much about Menorca?

I am flying off to Menorca next week for 10days and was just deciding what to take with me which brings me to the whole Snorkel and flippers question, can anyone tell me if the snorkelling is any good out there. I do a fair amount of Snorkelling in the Red Sea "Hurghada" but I have not been to Menorca or the Balearics in many years so just need to know if it is worth taking or not and would it be worth taking under water camera housing with me?

On the north coast of the island there is a large marine reserve where the best snorkelling will be found. If you are expecting it to be as good as the Red Sea you will be disappointed.

I'm going to Menorca in 3 weeks but not been before.

Definitely take the mask and fins. Take the housing if you can though but only if space/ weight allows. I'm considering taking mine but not for snorkelling, mainly for messing about with the kids in the sea.

Thanks for the replies, wasn't expecting it to be as good as the Red Sea but just wanted to see if it would be worth it. I think the holiday is going to be more Drunken Master than anything else but will take the extra's just in case.
