My memory is running VERY low on my MacBook so what can I do and what would be easier. Upgrade my memory in the MacBook or buy a portable hard drive?

I think you mean your disc space is running low... not memory
I would buy portable hard drives presuming its pictures filling up the space... 2 drives and keep 2 seperate copies of all pics![]()
I can get a 320gb for cheapish and yes it is pictures filling up the space. I think I am getting confused yeah lol why would you not recommend upgrading the mac?
This has been a concern of mine for a little while aswell. I have both a macbook & a desktop PC ~ are there hardrives out there that're compatible for both? I have files on both that I wish to store together. Oh & If you don't mind me asking, where have you spotted external hard drives that aren't at an extortionate price? I've been looking around for a little while & failed to find an affordable hardrive.

Is it a laptop? do you take it out? could it get nicked? I would rather store my important pictures on seperate hard drives and archive them away somewhere else than keep them all on one laptop or desktop hard drive.
