Hello, could anyone recommend some memory for my late 2013 27 inch iMac, having previously been a Windows based person I made the switch 18 months ago but it has now become time to upgrade the memory.
Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction for any brands to avoid, its currently running 8Gb@1600Mhz and I am ideally looking to go up to 32Gb.
Thanks in advance.

John

Go to http://uk.crucial.com/. They supply excellent memory at good prices. I 've been using them for years. They have a system scanner that you can download and will scan your machine and identify what you need. Fast service too.

I bought mine from Crucial as well. Excellent company to deal with and you can find the exact memory to use in your machine so reduces the worry of ordering the right/wrong one!

PS you have the same machine as me too so they definitely supply the correct modules. (I bought 2 x 8GB so at 24GB with a view to buy 2 more 8GB if I want to go to the full 32GB later but so far no need even with CS6 and LR5 running)

Hi John,
I also went with Crucial for both my machines. They will guide you to the right product.

I also have used crucial for both my iMac and mbp, just go to their site, use the system scanner and it will tell you what you have and show you all the kits that are available to you.

Crucial are the guys. Been using them for years. Quick, good prices and reliable kit.

Thanks everyone, just about to place an order with Crucial.

We didn't really give you much choice did we?

Without doubt the most popular option it would seem. My 16Gb kit will be here tomorrow, see how I get on with 24Gb and see if 32gb is needed or not.
