I have never had smelly feet up until last year, when I bought two pairs of shoes - Skechers black shoes for work and Puma training shoes for driving. They both have a couple of things in common - they have memory foam insoles and the make my feet stink. I tried everything with these shoes - cotton sock, deodorising socks, spraying with Febreeze, Odour Eaters, using talcum powder, all to no avail. II bought the Skechers last January, and the Pumas in Austria last September. Last year I removed the insoles from the Skechers virtually destroying them (they have that grid sole underneath), and all attempts to remove the Puma insoles resulted in failure, until today when I put them with some work clothes on a hot wash in the machine. I got home to find a very clean pair of Pumas with the insoles coming out - result! The Pumas smelled really nice, but alas the memory foam insoles still stank - unbelievable!
Fortunately I keep old insoles from trainers, and fitted a pair of Adidas ones which looked and smelled fine, so I will have to see how I got on.
I also Googled - "memory foam insoles smell", and this was the first thing to appear
