memory cards

I use Lexar Professional 8gb 800x (120mbs) speed cards and they are great

They are around £22 on mymemory

They are great cards but think will be wasted on D300 as i dont think its UDMU campatible so write speeds wont be any better than a 30mbs card, will make a difference when downloading to your PC via USB 3.0 though

I got them for the download speeds rather than write speed. I now use a firewire 800 card reader to macbook, its quick

So would I be right in assuming that any card with a speed of around 30mbs would be good?

I'm guessing that you meant UDMA, not UDMU, if so, the D300 is UDMA enabled. Whether or not it can fully take advantage of the 800x speed, I don't know - but the pricing of the MyMemory 800x Lexar cards makes them worth a punt. In a firewire reader they are pretty bloomin' rapid down onto my MacBook :naughty:
