Hi All - hoping someone can help me with a strange issue I am having. I have 2 memory cards - both worked fine in camera and computer this morning. This afternoon I find that all the photos are showing as locked when I try to edit them in View NX on both cards.
The cards themselves are not physically locked (as in the little switch is not in the lock position) and I am able to copy the RAW files onto the computer and then edit them from there. Just not from the cards themselves. One of the cards showed a bootlog.exe file with a lock symbol below it. I have now formatted both cards in the camera and tried again. Same problem - locked files. One of the cards now gives a drive error when I put it in the computer. It will not do the scan and repair though as it says it has write protection on it. This is not even the card that had the bootlog file showing on it.
What's going on?? I am reticent to try any other cards in case they are impacted - and I don't have another device with a memory card slot to see if they behave the same way on a different machine.
