I am hoping to get a small flash for fill-in on a Canon 6D. The Meike MK300 looks quite tempting. Anyone has experience with this flash?

I understand the desire to buy a small flash as the 6d doesn't have a built in one, you'd be mistaken for thinking you were adding something useful the designers missed out.

That's not really the case though. A built in flash is of very limited use, you really should go for a flash with a tilt and swivel head, then you can use it to bounce light and be creative. Straight on camera flash is a horrible thing that only rarely will add to an image.

Thanks for the replies. I do have a Yongnuo 600EX-RT which works very well for bounce flash, except for the battery drain issue if I forget to turn it off totally. But is a rather large flash to have on when chasing after the kids outdoor. Hence the desire to get a small, and lighter unit

The Canon 270EX II looks interesting. I will have a look at the availability on ebay!
