I've got a Nissin Di622 at present, and as reasonable as it is the real buggering factor for me is trying to take it off camera. It appears radio triggers just don't work :(

I've been toying with the idea of selling it on and changing over to something else and these popped up on the bay of E amongst the sea of Yongou items, and as I have a battery grip made by them which appears to be of pretty good quality kind of caught my eye.

Has anyone tried the Meike flash guns, and how are they? More importantly do they work with radio triggers

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Maybe my post is a little misleading. I am only going on research. Everything I've read leads me to believe the Mk1 version doesn't work with radio triggers.

I find it difficult to believe they wouldn't fire with manual only triggers (single central pin configuration). I can accept there may be issues with TTL type triggers, or triggers that make use of additional pins for wakeup calls etc, such as the yongnuo RF602 etc

I've only looked at the RF620 triggers in fairness. What other triggers should I be looking at Michael? I haven't read much else about other types I could look at to be honest.

You could do with finding someone close to you who has manual only triggers. (Single central pin)
Had a look on flea bay, and only found those with additional pin configurations.

There is a workaround. Does your Nissin have a PC port, or a jack socket etc?

I can fire my di622 with the y603's but only to a max speed of 1/100 before you get a banding

Is yours a Mk1 version Brendan?

i have mk1 and mk2, the mk2 is fine to 1/250 or 1/200 cant remember off the top of my head but its the max sych speed of the camera, but the mk 1 as i say gets banding over 1/100

I have a 950 and I've had no issues with it. Seems just as good as the SB-800 especially for the money.
