TV - obviously is the mode for getting rid of the lines when photographing the television...

:D

Bizarrely enough, this was once a thing - the Ricoh XR-P SLR had a dedicated TV mode for television pictures. Having heard of this, but being unfamiliar with 'Tv' as a term for shutter priority (it should be 'S'!), I seem to recall being briefly confused when I came across a mainstream SLR with a prominent Tv mode - 'well, that's a bit niche, isn't it?'.

since when was the shutter release on the left of a nikon camera !!

Got to be honest, the advert makes me want to punch someone. Or break their glasses.

It's an amateurish video by today's standards, but shows the technique. It's a handy trick to have in your bag, even if it rarely comes out.

Jason Shutter :LOL::LOL:

I wonder if I'll become a better photographer if I change my name to Dave Clicker :wideyed:

Im confused by the images on the billboards, as they show, from what I can ascertain, is clearly a LHD Nikon.....Is that real ?

The trouble with left handed SLRs is that you'll need a left handed coin or screwdriver to change the battery if it's not a catch operated cover, a left handed tripod to mount them on, and, of course, a left handed memory card and card reader to download the results. :( As left handed equipment traditionally tends to be more expensive than right handed kit, I'd imagine this can soon become very expensive. Perhaps that's why so many left handed people use a right handed DSRL and put their left eye to the viewfinder instead. The trouble with that is you won't get nose prints all over the viewing screen like one tends to do when using one's right eye, so I do empathise with left handed people who use DSLRs, as the DSLR experience clearly won't be the same for them.

;)

Seen this advertisement on the side of a bus stop this morning. Must admit it’s one of the first I’ve noticed due to it being photography related!
