yes me a right plonker.
Now I have switched from Nikon to Panasonic and the Micro four thirds route I have been using the 12-60mm amd 100-300mm lenses. So I have been thinking of doing some macro photography. To this end been searching for a suitable lens to go with the pana G9ii camera.. Seems logical doesn't It? please say yes. Well it wasn't because sitting on my desk is a Panasoniv DC-TZ95 compact camera. Yes it has a macro setting in auto flash manual etc etc. Now you know why I am a plonker not thinking of that camera at all.
So this afternoon out in the garden to give it a test run

The Panasonic TZ series are excellent tools. My TZ70 is nearly ten years old, usually lives in my pocket and still works pretty darned well, so you should get plenty of images out of yours. (y)
 
I quite like the option to have a pocket camera, you never know when you might need it. It's ideal to carry around a camera and a few lenses but sometimes is not very practical.

This was taken yesterday with the G9 and 100-300, blowing around a lot though

I use my TZ80 most days, it has two macro options in the focus, macro and macro zoom, I use macro zoom (not sure of the difference, but I suspect the macro only works close to the subject) but macro zoom works a treat for flowers and things.
