Hello TP people. I too started in the mid fifties with my dad's 120 box brownie then a bakelite brownie 127 (my first camera). Bought a Halina 6-4 with my paper-round money, got an Agfa 35mm then discovered girls
. It took eight years and a move to S. Africa in 1970 before buying a Canon FTQL, shooting mainly slides on Agfa & Fuji, also got a used 300mm tele for gamepark snaps.
Came back in '75 and since have had a selection of compacts (35mm & now digital) mainly for portability and wife's use, but I've still got my Canon and use it now and again.
My observant other-half convinced me
that an upgrade was in order so I'm now getting to grips with a 1000, and doing a lot of browsing. Already picked up a lot of good info here, so thanks so far and hope you all have a good New Year.
