My son is doing an art project and needed an old analogue phone to ring on a stand alone plinth. Ill ask at work says I. I asked the electronics designer and he tells me its not as simple as it sounds. I would need wave gens and transformers and loads of stuff I had never heard of, he realised I hadnt got a clue what he was on about and offered to build a gizmo to do it, great, and a few days later he arrives with a box of tricks that the phone plugs into and it rings and stops when you pick the receiver up and starts again when you put it down. Cheers what do I owe you says I Nothing, but I do have a digital image of my daughter and I but its poor quality , would you see if you can do anything with it? he asked Of course said I. Its a rubbish file noisy, colour casts, soft, and a real challenge. OK the proposition is this: what would or can you do with it show us your efforts and explain your methods.

Heres mine, I cropped to straighten the horizon and resize to 300ppi, used Noise Ninja, then a bit of dodging and burning around the eyes and adding catch lights, spotting to get rid of the marks in the sky then a tweak in curves and a border using stroke.
