Picked it up yesterday. Eunos 1.6 in Lotus Gold Leaf livery. Sweet

The Elan Sprint style paint job isn't something you see very often. Is this your first 5?

I recognise this car from mx5nutz!

You won't regret the purchase, amazing cars :D

No it's my second. I had a Eunos 1.8 V Spec Type 2 British Racing Green and covered in chrome bling.

I think the one in mx5nutz was slightly different, but restored by the same guy. Steve at Rep Cars in Leatherhead. He has done three in this livery, but all slightly different.

It looks good, people that call them hairdressers cars have never driven one, I've had 2 and would have another but 3 cars and a van is 2 cars too many according to my wife

Used to have a mk2, pre kids... Would love a mk1 to play about with. They are great little cars. Enjoy.

Yes, they are great fun. I actually prefer the 1.6 to the 1.8 that I had before and they are relatively cheap to buy. :D

Have owned two. The first was a brand new Mk 2 (1999) which was quickly sold to by a used 1998 Mk 1 Berkeley. What a superb car. The Mk 1 was the real deal, but I suspect the newer Mk 3 models are good, although I've never driven one,. Probably the worst decision I ever made was to sell it - my wife didn't like it, which was great news for me in a way as I was able to REALLY enjoy it on my own. I look at pics of it now with some sadness!

Shame it's pretending to be something it's not.
My wife has a Mk 2.5 1.8 which is a hoot. not quite as much fun as 2 wheels but a lot warmer in winter.

Do you mean it's pretending to be a packet of cigarettes or a 1968 F1 Lotus?
