Now I am no longer racing I look at my T4 Transporter and it is a bit of a one trick pony, its a van, to convert will cost me dear and so started looking around for a ready built camper, I keep coming back to the Bongo / Friendee style vehicles, hi top and converted with sink, cooker etc, 4wd, aircon front and back, aux heater etc and they look very good value to me, does anyone know any different.

I am seeing prices between 4-10k, I guess I would be looking around the 5-7k mark so would hope to get a good well looked after example.

So as the title, has anyone got one, had one, or have any advice about them. petrol Vs Diesel etc ?

It will be in the depths of Winter when I buy so research only at this stage !

Always fancied a camper/small motorhome myself for a lot of years, never looked at these before but they certainly look the business. There is a good choice on the Autotrader site http://preview.SPAM/5g8jec , mostly automatics, little choice between diesel/petrol nearly all are diesel.
All with Mazda reliability:thumbs:

EdinburghGary has just bought a Bongo and judging by Blackpool one weekend, Aviemore the next, I guess he likes it!

I've got a Renault Master that I had converted three years ago and it's been brilliant. The one advantage of a conversion is that you can spec it how you like. Mine has inboard water tanks, diesel heating, fully insulated etc so I can use it all year round. It did cost a bit to have it done to that spec though.
