Just received an invitation for a private viewing of Martin Parr's work followed by an " In conversation with Martin Parr" session where he will be interviewed by Professor Val Williams.

Hoping I wont embarrass myself as the audience will comprise of highly intelligent young academics - and me, just a grown up artisan.

Sounds great, I personally like his work. His very early monochrome stuff from Hebden Bridge makes a great contrast to the more recent stuff he is best known for.

Went to a talk by Martin at the Canon Pro show last year, he is very down to Earth, you won't feel out of place.
