Market place sales logistics.

My Sis in law has asked me to move some kit.
I know its down to the buyer and seller but whats the norm regarding payment and shipping in marketplace here?
Pay then ship?
Receive then pay?
How does it usually work?

Pay, then ship is the norm. Only on two occasions have I done any differently and that's because I was buying from a new member. In both cases, they understood why I would expect to see the goods before I paid them.

IME this is a great place to buy or sell kit - look out for a good feedback score and post count would be my only advice.

The only downside, is that you'll struggle to get its full value on here - everyone wants a bargain. I'd prefer to sell a little lower though compared with selling on the Evil Bay or the like - these are much nicer people . . .

Ebay is a non starter. MPB offer peanuts.
It will be a good deal for someone.

I agree. I don't mind buying from Ebay, but selling on there can be a nightmare.

As for MPB, I'm amazed anyone uses them. A business has to make a profit, but they really take the p**s in my opinion.
