This will be my second attempt at a 52 and this time I'm aiming to do it week by week, rather than in fits and starts like 2013, which I've almost finished! Looking forward to it again, as last year's has been great fun, but this year hoping to get more involved in commenting etc.

Week 01 - Line/linear
Week 02 - Play
Week 03 - Close

Hi ya Andrea , good to see you back for another year of 52 mania (y)

Nice mono conversion and I like the way the tracks lead to the bridge in the distance.

Great image Andrea, I like that (y)

I scrolled the page down so the image looked liked it was cropped to the top of the bridge, it really made the 'lines' look good :)

On theme nice perspective good composition well done, just need to get week 2 done now and week 3 will be announced later on.

Thanks for looking in and commenting, Mandy and Sarah. And thanks (ha!) for the reminder Mandy, just as I was patting myself on the back for actually getting started on this year's! :)

Ooh, Phil, I like that! I didn't think of that but I think I prefer it to the current crop, thank you (y)

The image leads the eyes nicely down the lines of the tracks. Mono conversion has been handled nicely. I also like Phil's crop idea.

A very nice image with the strong, converging lines and very good b/w conversion.

Hi, Thats a nice pic and a nice low angle too, good job there was no trains till easter
I too think a bit of a crop would be worth looking at

Thanks Allan. I've just been over to your thread and seen that we had very similar ideas for this theme, and I agree that having the lines meeting right at the top of the image would change the whole emphasis of the picture. Wish I'd thought of it :)

Hi Andrea.

You've done well here. Great use of lines and a nice example of linerar perspective.....Mono conversion works well for me and I like how you positioned yourself centrally over the line between the tracks. Really good start to 2014 (y)

HI ya

trying to figure out where that is.....the only stations I've been to are the ones at Ballabeg & Castletown......cracking little railway though . Can't say anything except I like it considering I did a very similar image (y)

Yay !!!!
Welcome to the 2014 - 52 Andrea :D
Nice start... I agree about a bit more off the top, other than that nice lines (y)

Thanks DK, I will try that crop.

Lines. On theme and b&w works well, but I'd like a tad more contrast. Nice low angle
Cheers.

Thanks for commenting, Andy.

Thanks, Jason. On a dull day it definitely suited the mono conversion.

Love the lines all leading to the same place, nice b/w.

Thank you, Mark.

Thanks, Lynne. It was only when I started looking at other threads that I realised there were a few railway line images, and some crackers among them. This was taken at Castletown, looking north towards Ballasalla. The station building would be directly to your right and the park is on the left. Does that help you picture it? :)

Very reluctantly I'm going to have to 'park' this for now as I just haven't had time for photography this year and, despite my best intentions, I can't see that changing in the near future. I haven't even managed to visit TP for a couple of months :( If I can, I will jump back in and pick up again.
