Manfrotto to Arca Swiss

I have a Manfrotto tripod with a ball head, it has the 200PL Manfrotto mount, is there an adapter to add to the installed mount to connect an Arca Swiss lens foot?

The reason I ask is that I don't want to have to remove the existing mount as I can still use the Manfrotto plate to attach to my camera but I want to be able to attach my [upcoming] Sigma 60-600mm zoom which has an Arca Swiss foot on it. I know it can also be fitted to the existing plate but it would be more convenient to have a separate mounting.

So to reiterate, I require an adapter that will fit into the existing Manfrotto mount so essentially I am just adding to the Manfrotto mount rather than replacing it.

I hope that makes some sort of sense.

THIS will this do the job?

Simplest solution......

Buy an AS clamp and attach the Manfrotto (RC2?) to the clamp.

AFAIK no one makes a combined unit that it RC2 with an AS clamp on it!

I have one of those - it's the biz

I use these:

I don't trust cheap Chinese monkey metal to hold my expensive cameras and lenses to my expensive tripods.:runaway:

Cheaper here of course:

They are a straight swap onto their ball heads - just one 'Manfrotto strength' bolt.

Some say, they won't take all AS plates, but as there is no 'true' standard that's true of any.

I've been using these for over two years - they're great. The only downside is the locking bolt isn't captive - a stupid oversight on their part IMO. Yes - I lost one.

No that wouldn't work for me as I want to keep the original RC2 plate system, I quite like it, but the new lens can use an AS plate so I can get the best of both worlds.
