Evening All,

For a while I've been trying to decide on the right backpack for my safari, I tried one of the bay/chinese Lowepro Paratactic bags, which whilst the design is brilliant, the Chinese copy is rubbish and it's going back for a refund, word of warning to anyone thinking of getting one, don't waste your time.
So I then started looking again at what would do the job for me, and I found the Manfrotto Redbee, it looked like a good back and was on offer on Amazon for £99, but I thought I'd pop down to my local London Camera Exchange and see what they could do, they had one in stock, it looked OK and they matched the Amazon price, fantastic service!!

An added bonus at the moment is if you buy one of the Manfrotto bags like this you get a free pixi eve tripod! so basically the bag costs you £50!!

I'll get some pics up soon to show what the bag is like if people are interested, it's a pretty good bag and I can fit two bodies in it, but it does have a distinct lack of pockets, for things like memory cards, batteries etc..
Does anyone know of any pouches or similar that can take SD cards and then using velcro stick to the inside of the back pack? I thought it would be easy to find but I'm struggling.

Ed.

Just been looking for a similar bag myself, was almost ready to buy either the Peak Design 20 or 30L pack or Lowepro Protactic 350 or 450. I went to Park Cameras they only had the Peak 30L, which was nice, but the waist and chest strap were dreadful to adjust, and they didn't have the Practice to compare.

But I found one of these and thought it would do the job for 2 bodies, a laptop and 3 lenses
This was a very helpful price comparison website which let me know it was on special offer at Jessops at the moment with an extra 10% voucher. £67.49

They’re a great bag,
I got mine from Jessops for £75,
Fits everything I need, Mavic Pro in th left side with 2 spare batteries,
2 lenses at the top, Nikon D7500 with 300mm attached, another lens at the front and the mavic controller in the right side wth various cables and power banks,
Also takes my MacBook Pro in the top section,
Overall complete bag for the money.

What is the support system like though?
All that gear weighs a bit and needs to be carried correctly as in sturdy proper fitting waist and chest straps.

Also needs a decent back frame to prevent sweating and keep it away from the body.
Soft material back that flexes is less than ideal especially for all day use

Another very important feature is designated space for water bottle or bladder, especially important I would think on a safari.
This bag doesn't look like its designed for much more than a few hours strolling around town or local outdoors

I'm looking to use this bag to transport on planes and whilst in Ecuador and the Galapagos (and Antarctica next year), the laptop will be left in the cabin and most trips ashore will not involve long distance walking. I wasn't looking for a hiking style bag, but I agree a side pocket for a water bottle would be useful.

Great price from Jessops (not something you always hear) bag arrived at 10:30 this morning. First impressions are good, decent size without being too big, nice design and look to the bag (I know that's less important than function but I'm a designer and it matters to me. Downsides - lack of external pockets for batteries etc, might look for a small hard case for them. Side access is tricky, if you get the dividers in the right place to hold everything then they become detached when you open the side pocket, or if you move them higher they don't support the lees properly. Also a little tricky to get your hand in and pull out a camera with lens mounted. I will mainly have 2 cameras on Blackrapid straps whilst I'm out and about, (I'm looking into the 2 camera shoulder harness) so I'll only be going into the bag for the wide lens so hopefully I should be ok.

Contents of the bag:
5D Mk1V
80D
24-106L F4
70-300 L F4
16-35 L F4
Flash and straps (I probably will not take the flash with me normally, so the chargers will go here)
Macbook Pro

The Macbook fits easily in the pocket, with room for a tablet or kindle as well.

A few variations on the dividers, I haven't found the ideal set up yet. Just trying a few different ways to organise the kit.

Just wanted to add to this thread that I took this to the Galapagos with me and was very happy with it's performance and comfort.
The bag has held up very well with no issues
(Next stop Antarctica)
