I've dusted off my Manfrotto MMX PRO 3A monopod which is fitted with an integrated 1/4 inch - 3/8 inch attachment. Unfortunately I can't remember how I expose the smaller attachment fastening which is fitted inside the larger 1/4 inch attachment. Would someone be able to remind me what sleight of hand is needed to do this please ?

Thanks - mystery solved.

When I last used the monopod it looks like the female screw mount from the lens that I had fitted to it remained attached to the head when I removed it - I just need to figure out where the errant fitting belongs !

I don't have the monopod but as I read it and @GreenNinja67 says the thread appears to be a combination size one (3/8th shrouding the 1/4 inch.

So if you doubled, so to speak, up on the adaptor and had a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer on the lens that you mention and that has remained on the monopod mount, that should be obvious ~ most(all?) will have a slight bevel visible and a clear slot in the bevel. Hope that makes sense???
