Manfrotto head choice

Just got a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod and now I'm looking for a head for it. Getting confused by all the types and models the more I read about them. I have an EOS 7D and looking to do some portrait / general stuff. Been considering getting Manfrotto 804RC2 or 391RC2 pan and tilt heads, not their top spec stuff I know but would they be an OK choice for my purposes, ie take the weight without slipping out of position ? all help greatly appreciated

I use the RC2-322 grip shift, but I do think there is a newer version available.

Hadn't even considered the joystick type, fast and easy to use from what I can make out too. I reckon it'll be the route I'll take - thanks
