So for anyone who hasn't seen this page on the beeb website BBC PAGE.
While I don't want to open a can of worms with the "sexual gratification" part of the story my basic understanding of photography laws is that when you are in a public thoroughfare you have no level of expectation of privacy and given this candid photos are ok. While it's always best practice, if at all possible, to ask permission this isn't often the case and people aren't getting locked up.
So if this guy was taking photos of fully clothed women (one presumes) on their way to and from work....exactly what is the crime here?
