Hi,

As per heading does anyone know where I could get one from ?
Have tried Ffordes, Camtech, Mifsuds.
B&H are the only place that appears to have stock but importing etc pushes the price to about £80 !!!
Alternately a larger one I could cut down.
My new toy a RB67 ProSD arrived yesterday, I was only expecting body lens back.It turned up with an extra back (no darkslide) and a metering prism.

The metering prism is a bonus if you weren't expecting that!

A new darkslide is always silly money, used ones turn up on Ebay on an irregular basis. Worth setting up a search. Do you have no darkslide at all, or two backs and only one darkslide?
 
I picked one up from an eBay seller in Japan for about £12, will try and dig up the sellers name when I'm back in the country :)
 
I'll hazard a guess it might have been ginotokojapanusa, Rob. He always has a lot of Mamiya gear at decent prices, I picked up a 65mm C f/4.5 from him last year. That's a beautiful lens for the RB67 - if you get only two lenses for the RB67 get the 65mm C and the 180mm C.

There's a standard RB67 darkslide listed on Ebay at the moment. It doesn't appear to have the Pro S/SD notch - it should work but it won't trip the interlock and you will be able to trip the shutter with the dark slide in place.

If you don't have a dark slide at all, I'm sure I have/had a spare that was cosmetically challenged but functional. I can't find it at the moment, and I don't remember lending it to anyone, but if you're completely stumped without one I'll have a good look for it.

Anyone know if the RZ darkslide will fit the RB? If so Ffordes have one for £15? Link
 
Cheers Alistair, you guessed correctly. If I cannot find one will keep it in mind.
Chris looking at your link I am not sure if they are interchangeable, on some American site they are listed separately. Will probably have to chat with Ali at Ffordes to check. The prism turns out to be a RB pd metering one similar in looks to a RZ auto type but without the auto bit. Quite impressed with it though.

You could well be right about the RB and RZ darkslides not being interchangeable. I was thinking that it may be an easy modification to make it fit the RB :shrug::)
 
Hi Christian that was my intial thoughts as well.
Hopefully found one on ebay in the States, the guy is offering one for every model it seems. Not too expensive either (pre customs that is !!! )

Maybe ask the guy in the states about the RB/RZ interchangeability then, sounds like he would have both on the desk to compare?

Afraid it's too late,had an e-mail telling me it's on the way.
Good idea though, I should have thought of that. DOH !!!!
