Going on Monday. Have media accreditation. Where are good places to shoot from.

Last year I was in public area, spent time at Gerrards (long 1st corner RH), the exit of the hairpin and some time coming down the hill to the start finish line (Devil's Elbow)

Anywhere else to consider now I will have better access?
 
Personally I think nearly everywhere at Mallory Park is great. Edwina's is the stand out place for me, but the last time I went they weren't using it.
 
The footbridge over the start/finish straght is a good bet, as is the banking next to the lake in the trees (over the road from Foundation lake).

What's on Monday? I might pop over to see the fishing on Sunday and if there's something on, then I'll take my camera too. The beauty of a MP fisheries ticket is that you can go just about anywhere on the complex :)
 
Wish I'd seen this last week! I was there on Sunday for the Ma5da Racing. It seems that the series we're following seem to be the same meetings, are you at Rockingham on the 8th June by any chance?

I went for the outside of Gerards and the hairpin, although with the low fences everywhere there were loads of options...

I spent the morning at the hairpin, or the infield section of the hairpin, and the afternoon at Gerards so I could get the start and flag shots.

Tried to sign on at the media centre, but they couldn't get in as there was only one key and nobody had it. I have my own orange high viz so wore that and everyone was happy enough.
 
I still need to get my media pass for Rockingham, we're only there on the 8th though. I didn't have any luck signing on at Mallory as couldn't find anyone at the media shack, but didn't really need to, as the fences are nice and low (unlike Rockingham).

I hope it was a bit drier on Monday than it was on Sunday!
 
Was dry most of the day, one or two showers but nothing bad. Wind was very blowy - was quite gusty and found it tricky to hold camera still. Taking the lens hood helped.

Am at Rockingham on the 8th and 9th - our series has a race both days.
