Malcolm Whittle, who ran Elinchrom for many years, has sadly passed away.

He was a man of tremendous enthusiasm and energy, and very active even in his old age. A sad loss to the industry, as well of course to his family and friends.

Thanks for that Garry, sad news. I had a long chat with him at the Focus show, where he was working on the stand alongside his colleagues at The Flash Centre. He was full of energy and enthusiasm, charm and good humour.

Elinchrom is actually British owned, by the Whittle family, operated out of Switzerland. Malcolm's son Chris runs the UK end, and has been an occasional poster on here.
