Magix movie editor pro any good?

Just wondering if anyone has used this software and if its any good for dslr hd video editing. It's coming up on amazon black friday deals tomorrow.

I use MEP 2013. I find it very good for short projects. But it does bog down quickly with larger projects. (6-core Phenom machine 16Gb ram)
But I use it mostly for .MTS files directly from my Panasonic HiDef camcorder which take a bit more grunt to deal with than h.264 .MOV files from dslrs

Is there much difference between this and adobe premier elements? Just wondering if my laptop would cope with mep

Have a look at Sony Vegas movie studio as well, great piece of software.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into them, have got premiere elements while it was on offer today at amazon just in case it was to good to miss/

If you can run APE you can run MEP without a problem, it runs better than APE.

Yeah, I use Movie Edit Pro and am very happy with it
