Yes
All my prints have a magenta cast to them regardless of what printer I use, now on my third :bang:

I assume it's some setting in the PC itself I need to change.
I've looked in colour management but not sure what I'm looking for really.
Can someone point me in the right direction please

It sounds like you need to get your monitor calibrated. What you are seeing on your screen now is not the actual colour of the photograph.

If that was the case surely untouched shots would print out as shot by the camera ?

I can understand that that would be the cause if I was adjusting every shot to get it to appear right on the monitor but mostly the only PS-ing I do is cropping, levels etc.

I would add that it happens regardless of the camera used or source of picture.
I first noticed it when I downloaded and printed a Capture NX manual which I never even viewed on the monitor.

Could be a number of things

First are you using the printer manufacturers paper and inks. If not this may be the source of the problem.

Secondly are you using Photo quality paper.

Thirdly are there controls in the printer that may have been adjusted.

As it occurs with different sources my initial thoughts are the problem lies in the print chain.

First start with your printer putting through various pics un-edited.
Then your monitor, then your software.

In this world of simple tecnology each of the above work against each other unless you have the correct calibration, profiles, ink, paper etc. etc. etc!

If you get the WB wrong in camera and dont correct that it might explain the problem

Howzabout give us a complete discription of all the hardware and processes you use.

Would take a lot of guessing out of the equation, no?
