How do you go about getting your photo onto the site, do you just upload them & see if they get chosen?
 
You upload them, they phone you, you give permission, they put it up.

That's what happened last time i had one on there.
 
I've sent them a few - still waiting to hear back :)

Congrats - I know they don't pay, but the exposure is nice!!
 
They don't pay for the use of the image, I'm just happy to get it on the site. That's my third one that's been on there!

You just email it in with a bit about the photograph, and you check it on a Friday to see if it's in or not!

Very nice! Our local news put one of my shots up recently after I submitted it to the BBC website. No mention of a cheque! Still, got full credit for it - worth it for the free publicity! :)
