Not been on for a while, but been a canon used for a long time.
I made the swap as I wasn't using my camera as much as I would have liked, i found I wasn't taking it out as much due to the size and felt a bit 'in your face' using it sometimes.
So, I made the jump from a canon 5d classic, 24-105L, sigma 50mm, 17-40L
To the Fuji xpro1 with the 18mm and 35mm lens while they had their free lens offer on.
Picked it up for £899 with the two lens, bargain!
Initial thoughts were that it felt cheaper, and the lens wasn't as nice as my previous (I only had the 18mm at that point). But once Fuji sent me the 35mm and I got used to the different style of shooting, I've really fell in love with it and can't put it down!
I love how inconspicuous it is, compared to the canon I feel invisible using it. The image quality is outstanding, on par with the 5d classic until you look at low level light, which the xpro1 hugely excels at. I'm getting a lot of low level shots with it that I would have never got with the 5d.
The view finder takes a bit of getting used to, I still prefer a proper slr viewfinder, but once you get used to it it's still very good.
Focus speed, the xpro1's big flaw in my opinion, it may well be because the canon lens' I had were so good at focusing, but the xpro1 just isn't as good. However there is hope, after I updated the firmwear it improved 100fold, so maybe something that will improve over time with future updates.
Overall I'm very happy with the xpro1, it's got me inspired to take pictures again, which is the biggest bonus for me. Oh and did I mention it looks cool as [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER]?
