Im new to photography and with my dads help I'm going to try and do a photo 52. Just starting my own thread :)

Hi Holly. Well done with your first entry to the TP52 ... hope you enjoy - main thing have fun. Anyway, I like your choice and composition for the theme. Is that your medal? Have we got a superstar in our midst?

Thanks! yes this is mine :)

Really looking forward to seeing your 52 Holly, well done for a great start (and I hope you ate all those chocolates!!!) :)

Great catch-up, all bang on theme!

Great shot for the theme, very sweet...

Welcome aboard Holly.

Song - Interesting choice of background for the medal, not something I would have chosen, but oddly it does seem to work. :)

Order - I think I would have to swot up on Harry Potter to know which was which (I get Tom Riddle's diary and the cup, but after that...) Whilst sitting nicely in their case, the crop is a little tight. An alternative idea might be to lay them out on a plain background so that you had more space around them perhaps.

Comfort - mmmm chocolate. What's not to like :)

Hairy - Cute little fella, and you've caught some interesting catch lights in his eyes. (and perhaps a selfie reflection?)

Bang on theme and good lighting. I could imagine a slightly tighter crop, with the toast in focus.

Edible props :) :) :)
I've got to agree with @brrnd, I would have liked the toast in focus too, but that may have made getting the background blurred more difficult.
I like the colour matching of the writing and decoration on the pot with the tablecloth.

Good compositionally and I like the inclusion of the oof toast to add context.

Good idea for the theme, I'm not certain if I would prefer the actual peanut butter in focus too/instead, but hey still like it :)

PS. Please do not get me wrong, but I am certain this will help you, a simple bit of text with your image would be nice, even stating your thoughts on why you chose the image, also It would be helpful if some feedback was given from yourself to people that make the effort to comment on your thread, if time is an issue, a simple multi-quote and a single thank you would only take a second :)

Apologies for not thanking people for comments, in my last year of A Levels so spare time is limited. All comments are appreciated, and I will do my best to comment on others photos too. :)
