Hiya folks, im fairly new to photography but really enjoy macro work. I have a Sony a450 with a sigma 18-200 lens, now I need advice on weather to bite the bullet and but a dedicated macro lens or to get some extension tubes. I would be shopping on a budget of about 150 ish. Would extension tubes with connectors give me good enough results with the sigma lens or should I just go for a new(or second hand) lens?

If it was me I'd go for a macro lens tamron 90mm or sigma 105mm etc but I've never used extension tubes
