Macro extension tubes for Canon R mirrorless cameras

First question is do these exist - Canon don't seem to make them ?
A quick amazon search finds these:

Are they a good purchase for macro work ?

Would such a tube work with a dedicated macro lens or would it only work with standard lenses
As with any extension tubes I imagine they will allow you to focus closer than a lens normally does without these tube. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't increase the magnification or focussing distance of a macro lens also. In fact its quite commonly used to get past 1x magnification of standard macro lenses.

As a general rule of though, extension tubes are more effective with shorter focal lengths and macro closeup lenses (like raynox DCR-150/250) are more effective for longer lenses.

A question for users of extension tubes if I may.

I don’t do ‘loads’ of macro, how much extra magnification could I expect by using the set above? I’m planning to buy the 85mm ‘macro’ and it’s only 1:2 would those extension tubes get it to 1:1 on the rare occasion I’d need it? Or even better?

According to the "normal" extension tube equation to get 1:1 you need the same amount of extension as the focal length... So nominally 85mm.

I believe it'd be half of 85mm as the lens manages get half way by itself. So 42.5mm of extention tubes. you'd need to stack a fair few - basically 2x 16mm extension tubes and one 11mm extension tube.

As mentioned above close up lenses would work better for longer focal ranges, even a raynox DCR-150 will take you over 1:1
you can have a play with the calculator here yourself for raynox, that website is generally very useful for macro stuff.

A raynox DCR-250 will give you 1.5:1 and you can even stack both to get 2:1

Some interesting responses here thank you all. I tried a Raynox once before and didnt get on with it - so this weekend I tried a screw on attachment called "DHG Achromat Macro" - bit wet for the bugs around but used it on some sunflowers on the macro lens, and it did get an even closer / larger image than the lens on its own and was reasonably sharp
