Yes
My MacBook air has now died and its time to replace it. Would like to ask your thoughts on using the above Mac for Photo editing using Lightroom and Photoshop.

If you do use this MacBook do you also set it up with an external monitor and what one would you recommend .
I still have my old iMac 27 inch but can't update anymore so its useless now too. Open to other suggestions if you think there is a better option.

Also can't seem to get this site working on my iphone13 pro it never seems to come together so can't browse the site at all on the phone.

Have a look here

I got one in Oct to replace my 2013 13" pro (now for kids use as works well still).

Plugged in for work to a 43" super wide monitor via usb-c fine (I use magnet plugin to break screen into different views) and before that I had it working off two 22" screens.

Use LR and iMovie - just effortless. Don't even think I have heard any fans, or heat so should last a good while. On my hold one you would often hear fans and feel heat.

I'm pretty sure you could use your old iMac as a secondary screen to a Macbook. Maybe someone could enlighten you?

EDIT This might help https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204592

I believe you can though worth mentioning that most iMac’s still retain reasonable used value so might make more sense to sell it and buy a dedicated monitor.

We bought a MBA m1 last year. So far it’s been fantastic. Just flies! We used it with a 32” IPS screen via a hub. It all works very nicely.

I have one, for both software development and my photography - it is a great bit of kit. However, since buying it, work also gave me an M1 MacBook Air, and I cannot tell much difference between them performance-wise (both have 16GB RAM).

External monitor wise, I have been really impressed with my Philips 279P, which has plenty of connectivity, so acts as a docking station for either of the MacBooks.
