Mac & RAW files

Hi all,

I need help on the Mac front, a friend of mine runs Photoshop CS2 on the MAC and i down loaded my raw files onto his machine but he could not open them. Am i right in thinking you can just download the Raw plugin from the adobe website, or is there a seperate (FREE) program for the Mac. Sorry for the questions but i am PC user.

You need Adobe Camera Raw 4.6 and CS3, as CS2 doesn't support 4.6

MacOS also has Digital Camera Raw component included for iPhoto and Aperture, don't think it works with CS2 though

Does CS2 support the D700?

Apple Digital Camera Raw provides raw support for iphoto and aperture but not IIRC lightroom or other adobe products which use ACR.

It sounds like you need Adobe DNG convertor, to turn your RAW files into DNGs which CS2 will be able to read.
