Yes
has anyone who uses Affinity Photo 1 or 2 and DXO Photolab 5 upgraded their M1 MacBook Pro OS to Sonoma ?
have you had any problems?
I always wait a while before updating the OS to make sure that there’s no issues , I did google search and found that some people have had issues with Affinity file exports when they upgraded to Sonoma , but they were all old posts I can’t find anything recent to see if it’s ok now
the reason I want to update is that I’m having issues with the recycle bin on my Mac when I try to delete folders on external drives I’m hoping that they have resolved this issue with the latest OS

Not MacBook but my iMac M1 has been upgraded to Sonoma 14.1 and no issues with Affinity 1.10.6 or Photolab 5 - 5.15.0 build 98, which are the latest I believe. :)

Thanks that’s good to know :)

With Affinity photo 2 I use save as when I’m still working on an image and export as a Tiff or jpeg when I have finished the image , I just want to be sure that this still functions properly with the new Mac OS as I would be stuck if Affinity doesn’t work properly with Sonama

I may stating the obvious but there is a DxO community support sub forum for Mac users here

Perhaps worth joining that community group too for concentrated insights/feedback ?

AFAIK it is searchable when not logged in.

Edit, yup......

Am getting the error message = operation cannot be completed because the item ”12” is in use

im working Around the issue by connecting the drive to my windows pc and deleting them there am on Ventura 13.0

edit I use the same drive on my windows pc and Macbook as i sometimes use an old version of photoshop to edit with for some things instead of affinity photo
it’s possible that I’ve caused some issues doing that

Latest version of Ventura is 13.6.1 maybe try that.

Usually when an item is in use what it means is that some software has used the item and not let it go (so to speak)

thanks again for the help , I just tried and was able to empty the recycle bin on my Macbook after updating Ventura, that was bugging me for ages :)
