I've been using Aperture for 3 years and before that Canons DPP. My 750Gb hard drive is now getting full and I need to remove some photos off it.
I currently use a 2Tb hard drive with Time Machine to back up everything and an old 500Gb HD with just a Vault backup of Aperture.
I have a new 2Tb Hd but I'm unsure of the best way forward. I know I can move the originals to the Hd and still be referenced, do I then just need to copy these to another drive so there are two copies?
The other slight spanner is that I like the Aperture workflow and layout and realise that it's days are numbered (maybe years before it's completely obsolete). Should I and how do I go about saving my photos now for future use with, say Lightroom?
