When you right click on on an app icon in the dock a list of recent files pops up.

Is there anyway of making a file sticky in this list?

With Capture One, I often open multiple different sessions (many different C1 files), but I also want to have quick access to using C1 as a browser, which is a specific C1 file. I want this particular file to be available on a right click all the time. But as I open different sessions, it of course gets pushed off the available list of recently used files.

I am failing to find a set of search terms that yields anything helpful in google :-(

Like lots of things Apple, you need to know the magic words :) In this case it's "dock stacks".

You just drag the folder containing your file (NOT the application) to the dock. When you click on it, it will open with default application. To make it easier, you could set up a folder with shortcuts to the files you want to sticky and drop that folder onto the dock.

Thanks,

I had tried that, but not realising that it needed dropped to the right of the divider. Now that I've grasped the concept I will investigate the options that you suggest.

Thanks again :-)
