I've got a day off this week and am keen to get more into wildlife photography with my new 70-200.

I'm traveling from just north of Bristol to Exeter and want a good nature reserve to stop off at for a few hours on the way.

Ideally it would have good access from the M5.

I can see quite a few ones on the RSPB and Natural England websites - but haven't any experience for which will be best considering i'm going to be limited to 200mm at the long end.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Slimbridge is worth a punt.

Its a bird sanctuary, the birds are free to come and go .... but considering the amount of food they get ... they mostly stay

during baby bird season, its quite sad as the young learn early that humans carry seed, so sometimes its quite hard not stepping on birds as they run up to you and get under your feet

But its good though .. a lot of different species and the majority out side and nopt in cages, so you get some really good natural shots

EDIT !!! ..... damn .. just realised you are going the other way to Exeter .....slimbridge is up towards gloucester ... Ignore this post .... but I'll leave it up incase anyone else is interested

Sorry for getting your hopes up !
