After your help again guys and girls :)

I'm off to Lyden Hill soon for my first outing at the venue and not sure which focal lengths would be ideal so after some advice.

I will have media access to the drift event but would appreciate knowing how far away I'll be shooting from in advance.

Any help greatly appreciated :)

Blimey two threads on Lydden in a week, I go to Lydden pretty much every week speccy side and a 70-200 is ample, for drifting youll definately need a wide angle and a lens of arround 300mm should be ample for head on shots for when they come round the last corner, for the devils elbow a 70-200 would be perfect.

My attempts of the drifting track days that were held this year and last.

Thank you, looks like even more reason to get the 70-200 2.8 :)

Looks like some nice close action :)

Lyddens a lovely circuit for photography with no 6 foot fences up, also as the action is pretty much at three corners you wont have to do to much walking either.

Sounds great, looking forward to playing with the 10-20mm from the passenger seat as well :)
