I've started using some multi-aperture frames, and thought it would be great to have a template directly in LR which allows me to have the arranged photo layout for my smaller frames which are less than 12x8 (it the photos would fit on a sheet of A4).

And so it seems obvious that I could create a layout where the photos are automatically sized to the correct output and the individual photos are correctly spaced so that in one print, I get my frame (and don't have to cut up and arrange each photo individually).

However, it seems that the contol over placement is dire: you either get no snap, or a snap to cell or a snap to grid. If you have no snap at all, you can't even use shift or ctrl to lock movement to an axis. And I can't seem to figure out if I can actually specify the location of the photo on the page.

This seems a pretty fundamental feature, but I just can't figure it out.

Do I really have to resort to full blown photoshop just so I can specify the locations of the apertures? Hell I could do this in Visio, so why not LR? :bang:
