what do you want to do?

I have spent to past few weeks learning the basic sand now am looking at YouTube tutorials each day (lots of time on my hands & have to spend long periods in bed so watch on my IPhone) covering a more detailed part. Today was how to use the brush & thought I could do with a few more ideas but I know I could go through my workflow and save the brush settings. But as I say having a good look around the programme at the moment.

Thanks Sam I'll take a detailed look later

Do you mean Lightroom or Photoshop?

I did a tutorial on how to create photoshop brushes here - you can create them from just about anything, from photos to illustrations to simple brushstokes. If you create your own you are not limited by what you can use them for

If you have any PS brush questions feel free to ask, I might not be able to answer but can always try as they are something I enjoy creating and using

Hi Christine LR4 as my title although I do use PE10 & CS4 but the latter two are gathering a lot of dust since getting LR as it seems to satisfy the type of shots & adjustments I like making.

Thanks for putting up the information on brushes - it is good of you to share and I will tale a detailed look this evening

I have Perfect Suite 7, and, I love it.

Perfect mask is awesome in itself, I highly recommend it.

Just downloaded trail and will have a fuller go later but it does look very interesting

Have learnt something today, I did not know you could use different brushes in LR4 - will have to investigate this later

It's not really different brushes as such it's different settings for the brush.

Ah, that makes more sense, was wondering how to get/use different brushes in LR :)

Christine here you go what I found easy (even for me) to follow. Copy taken from web link at bottom. I have PC & it worked fine.

1. Go into Lightroom and click on Edit at the top (next to File).

2. Go down to Preferences and click on it.

3. There will be a new screen that pulls up. There will be six tabs at the top, click on Presets (second tab).

4. Click on the box titled, Show Lightroom Presets Folder.

5. Double click on Lightroom.

6. Next double click on Local Adjustment Presets Folder.

7. Copy the contents of the Pretty Presets Folder, found in your download, into the “Local Adjustment Presets” folder.

Sorry Christine I used to create PE brushes but mainly for clouds with what I was fascinated by a year or two ago. But just a phase I was going through

A lot of folks on here are bonkers - but being bonkers good :cuckoo:
