Hi,

I have downloaded Topaz DeNoise 30 day trial and I am impressed with it overall capabilities and ease of use. I have also purchased LR3 yesterday and await it's delivery. I have read a couple of articles on LR3 Noise Reduction and that it has been significantly improved.

While I await delivery of my LR3 I would appreciate readers who have experience of LR3 and DeNoise which they think is better. Do you consider LR3 NR comparable to DeNoise?

All comments appreciated.

Regards

Alan

Download the 30 day free trial of Lightroom and then you can play with it to your hearts content and decide yourself. All you need to do when your copy arrives is enter the serial number (it is a fully featured 30 day trial).

LR noise reduction is a fair bit simpler, I have not actually done any sort of comparrison so I'd be interested to see the results.

LR3 blew me away when I first got it and was working on a wedding which had dimly lit ceremony shots with stupid ISO.

Can make images look like a water painting though when you push to high,, 30% NR is usually all I need.

Agreed I usually go up to 30% LR noise reduction, if you need more, some sharpening can sort the water painting effect.
