i was thinking of upgrading my LR2 but just wanted some advice to see if its really worth it ?!

I use LR3, never used LR2 but the noise reduction of LR3 is worth the upgrade price alone.

Not much obvious difference, although the import modual is totally different to look at. The main "new" feathures are.
* Improved noise and sharpening
* More control over watermarking
* Manual lens correction and auto lens correction profiles
* Perspective correction
* Sleeker importing
* Online Publish Service management (drag & drop to sites such as Facebook)
* Multi-image print layouts
* Improved film grain effects
* Video slideshow exporting (with music)
* Natural appearance vignetting
* Tethered captured for selected DSLRs

thanks folks, i forgot to mention i have downloaded the upto date version 2.7 which i think has added many of these features ? it is so much better than Photo shop in my opinion !

Why not download the trial version of Lightroom 3 and see for yourself?

It depends on what your doing IMHO, if your doing the basic editing (colour exposure etc) than LR probably is a better option if you have batches of images to do.
If your doing more complicated stuff and need to swop bits or combine images then LR obviously isn't suitable.
I would also prefer a better option in LR for selective editing, I find the ajustment brushes fairly crude after the selection options in photoshop.

Have a look at what you get with LR3. Is there one or more really good enhancements that make it worthwhile. ( or is your camera only supported in LR3?).

For me the improved image processing, particularly noise reduction made the upgrade worthwhile, but as an addition I also got a excellent upgrade to the print module.

Has anubody tried the post to facebook/flickr from LR3 yet? How well did it work if you did.
