LR v4 problem

I'm sometimes finding it difficult or impossible to get sharp images when enlarged to 1:1.

When I click on them they sometimes take forever and sometimes just never get there. They will move from "very pixellated" as I scroll across to very unsharp and never click into sharp focus as they should do.

The "Loading" button shows at first then goes away.

I think there are also intermittent problems with other "develop" modes as well

Any suggestion?

have you looked at the preview settings in your catalog settings. Do you get the same issues with the quality set to high rather then medium

I wondered if it might might be related to that. I've checked and it was set on medium, so I've changed it to "high" and I'll see if it helps.

Mine does this sometimes. The images never render completely, usually after an import. I have to restart Lightroom and everything works the way it should. Annoying though.

Many, many bugs in the preview code (and to be fair, they were also there in 3).

Delete the previews, open another catalogue, wait a few mins, close Lightroom, reopen, then open the original catalogue and ask it to rebuild previews.

[Logic: when you tell LR to delete previews IT DOES NOT DO THIS on the assumption you may change your mind. Seriously.]
