Hi guys,

I've been hunting for a dakroom set up for ages to have at home and I need to buy one, I've found a lady who has a darkroom but can't do chemicals any more so wouldn't mind to see the back of it. I want to find a ball park (honest) price on what the kit is worth. I am NOT selling outside the classififeds and am about/have already rtm'd the thread.

Whats an LPL enlarger worth (annoyingly I don't know the model number or even whether it is colour / BnW) I know she has nikkor 35 and nikkor 85 (I think about 85 mighta been 80) which leads me to believe it was a good enlarger but I don't know where prices have fallen to, off to classifieds search and ebay for a looksie now.

I paid £100 for a complete Durst setup 6 moths ago and I can get my hands on two more setups for free. They realy aren't worth much these days. Dealers have higher prices but I suspect they also have them sitting around for long periods of time too.

so a 100 quid offer for an enlarger and bits (trays tanks ect) isn't rude then?

I would start at £50* after all, it's just money, nothing personal.

(* actually, I wouldn't... I'm hopeless at doing deals which is why I let my brother do them for me. He will regularly go to see something with half the amount being asked for in his pocket and more often than not will come away with the item).

Steve.

under advisement ;)

so 50-100 is a good ball park, should the upper limit be revised (it will ultimately be cut by cash flow but it seems foolish to miss a great bargain because it wasn't quite cheap enough)
