Lowepro Vertex 100 advise please

I am looking for a new camera bag big enough to hold the following:

D7000 with a sigma 50-500 attached
D5000 with a tamron 17-50 attached
spare batteries
Memory cards
Mono pod
cleaning cloths etc

It also needs to be within the hand luggage restrictions, now have short listed a Vertex 100 although its slightly outside the Kenya airways baggage size limit.

Question 1
Can anyone tell me if the bag is big enough (gut feeling is that I might get the 7000 and the sigma in but the 5000 will need to be split from the lens)

Question 2
The bag is 5cm deeper then the limit on a Kenya airways flight, has anyone had an issue?

Thanks for the suggestion, ideally i want a backpack tho. Just believe it will be more practical for days out etc.
